From Travel Educator Bijan C. Bayne

Kevin Durant. Ty Lawson. Scottie Reynolds. Michael Beasley. Austin Carr. Elgin Baylor. Mayor Dave Bing. Adrian Dantley. How many tourists realize Washington is a basketball hotbed? Famed Boston Celtics Coach Red Auerbach, who lived here from the 1940’s until his death, said D.C. had the best level of scholyard basketball in the U.S.
